Towcester High Street, white Dacia driver pulled out behind me from a side road, approaching red ATS, I stopped and they stopped sharply behind me. Mindful of those who get too close, I monitor following driver behaviour in case I need to react. I’d seen them looking down several times so that all I could see was hair, look up briefly, looking down for longer, look up briefly, looking down for longer, clearly distracted.

I spoke to the driver who had their hand held mobile phone in their left hand on their left knee, showing recent calls.  I  said it’s illegal, it’s dangerous.  They just said “Yeah, sorry mate” repeatedly.
